5. THE LUIGI BOCCONI UNIVERSITY
The new, modern face of this historic university has been designed by architects Shelley McNamara and Yvonne Farrell, but its soul is more than a century old. Founded in 1902 by Ferdinando Bocconi and named after his lost Luigi, this university was born with the project of creating great entrepreneurs able to redevelop the city and the country. Today Bocconi is one of the most renowned universities in the world and, thanks to the new buildings on its campus, is preparing to become an architectural monument for decades to come.
