Lake Iseo is a small lake located a few kilometers north of Brescia. The city is a landmark in Italy, it was elected by the Sole 24 Ore among the cities where people live the best in Italy. At the centre of the lake, there is the small Monte Isola, a sort of enchanted mountain with vines, olive trees and fruit trees. With a circumference of only 9 kilometres, Monte Isola can be explored by bike or by foot. Franciacorta also overlooks Lake Iseo, very famous because it is here that the best sparkling wines in Italy are produced. The hills of this area enjoy the breezes that come from the lake that create an ideal microclimate for the production of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco grapes. You will find more than 100 wineries: the ideal place for lovers of high-quality wine.
