4. Albergo Diurno Venezia
In the 1920s, daytime baths were a popular version of our modern day SPAs. You could go to the barber shop, take care of your own beauty, indulge in a thermal bath. In Piazza Oberdan one was built that still exists today and was designed by architect Portaluppi, a kind of time capsule where the clock stopped at the Belle Époque. Placed among the assets of the FAI and currently under restoration, it is possible to visit it on rare occasions but it’s absolutely worth the wait: inside you will find sumptuous fountains, dream SPAs facilities and a Beaux-Art splendor that is rare to see these days.
